Here you can find pictures of two former Maine Central Alco S-1s last known to be at the HOBO RR in Lincoln, NH.
The S-1 series was built between May 1940 and June 1950, weighs 210,000 lbs and uses a Alco 539 6L four-stroke 6 cylinder diesel prime mover that develops 600 hp, and 57,500 lb of tractive effort, and carries 635 gallons of fuel. My thanks to The Diesel Shop for the information.
